Default Wich XP?

Hi,

I can't really tell the difference between XP Pro and XP home edition.

I need to buy a copy for another computer should I go Home or Pro? Could someone tell me the differences, main benefits of the pro version?

What would be a good partition size on the HD to install XP?

I use it mainly to play poker with usual poker software (PT, PAHUD)on a core 2 duo, 2GB of RAM.

thanks to anyone who could give some input about that.

From a poker player's view point you want Pro so that you can use user authentication to physically access the OS. You dont want the old "click on a username, and maybe have to enter a password"...

I don't have really any experience with Home, but I think if you hit Ctrl-Alt-Del twice at that logon screen it gives you the domain window where you can type your username/password/choose domain.

thanks for the answers, it looks like the home edition will do the job.

Let me know if I overlooked something in terms of security.

From the security post in the FAQ it looks more worthwhile to get a router. Is still the Linksys WRT54G the way to go?
