For runner-up, I'll nominate Rulon Gardner. He won heavyweight wrestling olympic gold by defeating a Russian who had not lost in 12 years. He got stranded in a snowmobile accident and lost a toe to frostbite. His motorcycle got t-boned by a car. And just recently (like within the last week) he was in a plane that crashed on a frigid lake. Experts say that hypothermia should set in after thirty minutes in that water, yet he and his two friends swam an hour to the shore and spent the cold night with no shelter or fire. This guy cannot be killed.
