3bet Line Check
I've been experimenting with pf 3-betting lighter with a wide range of hands. I almost never do this oop but this felt especially steal-able because it was opened to the exact pot (usually tighter/more mathy players) from the CO. I don't have any reads on the CO, except that I've been playing a lot with him lately so he might be more likely to look me up.

Re: 3bet Line Check
I too have started experimenting with 3 betting light but tbh i think it's best directed at players who have a high pfr (esp from blinds/CO) and best done when your own image is solid. I don't think there's any need to get too fancy against this player here.

Re: 3bet Line Check
Try not to reraise from the blinds with marginal hands, it puts you in awkward situations. As played, it's like w/e... you have very little fold equity from button b/c he's so short, and without any reads on CO I'd probably shut down if he does anything.

Re: 3bet Line Check
With the short stack in, you shouldn't be 3 betting. You'll get called by a much wider range, won't have any fold equity on the flop, and you don't have any implied odds. After this, i probably just fold pf. 3 betting isn't as advantageous as uNL or SSNL because people don't fold out their marginal hands as often as they do in MSNL, preflop or postflop.
If you're dead set on experimenting with 3 betting, as played, check flop. You didn't hit this flop hard, and only better hands are calling from the bigger stack. |
