PS - 4/180 Raise 1 limper w/87
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (7 handed) internettexasholdem.com
BB (t2360) UTG (t20680) MP1 (t16079) MP2 (t5875) CO (t8542) Hero (t9585) SB (t12893) Preflop: Hero is Button with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 2 folds, MP2 calls t400, 1 fold, Hero raises to t1200 MP2 is pretty weak/tight and likey to fold to a raise. The only real concern here is shorty (BB). He seems to be folding for a hand so I thought taking a shot here was fine. My plan was. 1) Everyone fold (fairly likely) 2) BB Pushes and MP2 folds - easy call and hope for the best. 3) BB pushes and MP2 pushes - Fold. 4) BB pushes and MP2 calls - eh...I dunno. Push or just call? Any thoughts on any of this appreciated. R. Sherman Note - Rest of table was fairly tight. I wasn't too concerned about any of them getting in on the action. |

I like this. No point in re-raising more, as this accomplishes nothing that the raise you made does not.

Re: PS - 4/180 Raise 1 limper w/87
I think 4 is an unlikely scenario. If MP2 is a weak/tight player I would think it was strange for just a call which would be over a third of MP2's stack and MP2 still has to wonder if you would push or not and you were the initial raiser. However, for this what if scenario and if my math is correct and MP2 did just call and you pushed I believe MP2 would be getting about 2.75 - 1 on his money and might call you with over a third of MP2's stack already in the pot. I would just call and hope for a coop check down.
