Default Let\'s talk about some MONITORS.

I have been playing on a really ghetto (but efficient) set-up. I play on two 19" Samsung CRTs. Yes they still make them.

My eyes are ok but we did have to extend our house to make room for them.

In all seriousness, I want to add ANOTHER monitor. This time maybe a nicer one such as one of the 20" Dell's or whatnot.

They do make videocards to support three monitors, right? How much do these typically run?

My plan is to put the Dell in the middle and then at the end of the year replace the CRTs with two more Dells.

Is this what a lot of you are doing right now?

I have one nice dell and one crappy old CRT that I got for $99 at Best Buy or something. Plan on replacing the CRT soon. Not sure about 3-monitor cards. Some guys here have way more monitors than that tho, so it must be doable.

3 video cards definitely work, I have 3 in my comp right now (only 2 monitors at the moment though)

I got a deal for the 2 Samsung 204Bs a while ago. I think they were 350 (maybe less actually) and there was a 60$ mail in rebate, so in the end it was about 290-300 per monitor.

Best investment ever. You play as much or more than I do, and you're looking at these screens for 8+ hours a day. Do yourself a big favor and replace your CRTs.

Keep an eye on fatwallet.com, they usually find pretty good monitor deals.

The 'Computer Tech. Help' forum has regular threads on monitors.

I agree, hard to beat the price/performance ratio. While there are a few "better" monitors out there, they are way more expencive and overkill for generic use.

Dell 24" widescreen???

mine runs at 1920x1200, I can 6-table on it comfortably, 12 would be do-able I'd think.

According to the CTH faq small pokerstars windows are 483*354, your monitor must support a resolution of 1932 * 1062. So if you get a monitor that supports 1920 * 1200 you will only miss 12 rows (which is nothing).

Here are a few found with google: http://uk.insight.com/apps/nbs/index.php...1920%20x%201200
