Default quick question about AQ preflop multiway

raise from hijack, co and button cc. i'm in the sb with AQo. standard table and really no reads.

i really hate my position, my thought process is that raising only builds the pot which doesn't do me any good if i don't hit my Q or A. also, i'm not confident that the aces are all live after a raise and 2 cold callers.

what's the standard move here with standard table?

what range of AX hands are you doing this action with.

This is a pretty easy 3-bet generally.

Also your question is really broad. You don't give the stakes or any kind of reads. These things greatly effect what Aces to fold, call or raise here.

ooo...we might have an actual discussion here. Or maybe I'm getting leveled

I think that misses a lot of value in SS games. Plus aren't the two CC'ers almost always fairly loose. Very loose is what 50+?

sorry, 1/2, typical loose passive game. i'm reviewing this hand on pt, so no i don't have any reads on the table at the moment, but nothing out of the ordinary.

if i 3bet, do i plan to make a c-bet if i don't hit the board?

I almost certainly wouldn't.

The ideal situation to three-bet is if the open-raiser has loose standards, the cold-callers have loose standards, and all of the opponents play pretty passively after the flop.

The best time to cold-call is when the opener's range is fairly tight and the other cold-callers, while loose, are aggressive after the flop. Under these conditions, you should be happy to keep the pot small and see whether the flop is favorable for you or not. You stand a good chance of check-3betting (or at least check-raising) when you flop top pair.

Folding would be only correct if the players were very tight and played well after the flop.
