Yeah, I call too. I think he thinks you're weak, but you're strong enough to defeat the vast majority of his range here.
I really see this as him planning to check and call all the way and then make a move on the river. |

Betting the turn is pretty bad IMO. Big aces and pocket pairs are a pretty big part of his range after his call preflop and on the flop. You want him to bluff with his pocket pairs on the river. A8 is a bluff catcher here, don't build the pot.
I think best case scenario is a chop on the river, I might find a fold here but I would never be in this situation |
