With AA and 10 bbs, you are going to be getting it all in at some point. From UTG+1, your line isn't that bad if a) the table has been aggressive, b) you think you'll get isolation raised from behind, and c) you've limped previously and folded to a bet from behind. c) is the least important of these.

I would probably open 2.5-3x here. Shoving is also fine -- especially if you had recently made shoves or had to show down not-so-great hands.

I thought there was a pretty good chance of getting raised but also knew there could be an overcall or two. I open-limp like once every six thousand hands or so but never played with any of these doofuses before.

You got all of your money in as a favorite, but in general open limping aces is over rated

You got all of your money in as a favorite... but in a situation where the draw had to call you because you played it wrong

huh? again dude same basic argument as other thread I think... i'm 53% to triple up here. In this stage of the tourney I'm okay with the high risk/reward vs. the safe play. Results are meh but overall I still think this was the optimal line

I think this is a pretty good spot to take a chance and try to get a good chipstack, since the payouts really don't change much for quite a while. When you do it, you just have to accept that you're gonna go broke a good bit more often than if you just played it straight.

If you're happy then thats fine I understand the way you played it for maximum chips accepting maximum risk.

But you call the doofusses for playing this way. You also seemed angry in your earlier post about what happened.

My point is that if you are going to get angry don't play them this way.

no I meant doofuses in the nicest possible way - like if button had a few hands with me he would be very wary of my limp there.

makes me think about bringing a little more of that into my game longer term...
