Default First Step Up

i finally got my bankroll "live" to were i can play 50-100>higher, so i played 50-100 limit at a home game(cleveland is the biggest poker city in the world besides Vegas) 2nite and won $12,500. My roll (and life) for poker is about $100,000 strictly live. my question now is what limit should i play? Strictly LIMIT. i play a 2-5 No-Limit once a week, but i want to know what "limit" i should play?

as for your question about what limit to play you need to realize how much you are willing to lose. you have 100k. do you mind losign 25k? play 100-200 then.

hmmm...

Would it surprise you if I told you Vegas wasn't the biggest poker city in the world, or even the Western United States?

Vegas not biggest poker city in the world. I live here.

You have a 100k roll and are asking these questions?

General advice however, don't move up too fast. If you've been playing 2-5NL and decide that you have the roll for 10-20 (which you do), don't jump in. Beat the 5-10 first. Same for limit. If you've been beating 50-100, give 1-2 a shot. If you haven't been beating 50 consistently, or 30, or 20, beat the level one above the one you've been at first. Then move up.

Doesn't sound like Cleveland is that big a poker city after all.

I think you should play whatever your comfortable crushing, then once a week dedicate some time and roll at the next up level, sounds like 100/200. Once you feel fully comfortable at 1/2 and forsee a long term good winrate, dedicate yourself to 100/200. I started doing this back in the day with 1 dollar/2dollar limit, moved to 3/6, 5/10, 10/20, and 20/40 and it seems to be working real well and allows for good bankroll growth without huge risk of busting your wad at a level your not comfortable with.
cheers
