Am I a donkey? My first shot at $50
So much for my first shot at .25/.50
Is this inevitable? Or simply, check fold/call the river? Not much read yet on villain *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to hero[Kh Ad] cjtheman1973 joins the table at seat #5 phronesis: folds Schielster said, "lucky" Harry_o.O: raises $1.50 to $2 hero: raises $4 to $6 Schielster: folds Cubinary: folds Harry_o.O: calls $4 *** FLOP *** [7s 9d 7c] phronesis said, "huh?" Besides raising preflop, is there a better play and/or way out off this one? Dealt to hero [Kc Ks] SiXTrE_OFF: calls $0.50 Skinz05: raises $2 to $2.50 twistedfende: raises $5 to $7.50 kiuby: folds CallMeCraZEE: folds hero: calls $7 SiXTrE_OFF: folds Skinz05: folds *** FLOP *** [6d 6s 3c] hero: checks twistedfende: bets $18.50 hero: raises $24 to $42.50 and is all-in twistedfende: calls $24 *** TURN *** [6d 6s 3c] [3s] *** RIVER *** [6d 6s 3c 3s] [Jd] *** SHOW DOWN *** hero: shows [Kc Ks] (two pair, Kings and Sixes) twistedfende: shows [Ad As] (two pair, Aces and Sixes) twistedfende collected $100.25 from pot This is more pathetic, I know. Easy fold on the flop? Read on villain is laggish 40/20 or so Dealt to hero [Kd As] Harry_o.O: folds Viper_ex: folds Chuck2417: calls $0.50 hero: raises $2 to $2.50 W.Splinter: calls $2.25 DougieG20: folds Chuck2417: calls $2 *** FLOP *** [Jd Kc 6h] W.Splinter: checks Chuck2417: checks hero: bets $6 W.Splinter: folds Chuck2417: raises $33.25 to $39.25 and is all-in hero: calls $32.75 and is all-in *** TURN *** [Jd Kc 6h] [5h] *** RIVER *** [Jd Kc 6h 5h] [Ts] *** SHOW DOWN *** Chuck2417: shows [6d 6s] (three of a kind, Sixes) hero: mucks hand Chuck2417 collected $82.50 from pot Is this just a gross check fold on the river? Again a seemingly laggish villain *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to hero [2c Kh] 87werdnA: folds frankcasanov: calls $0.50 LAKATI: folds bagger79: calls $0.25 hero: checks *** FLOP *** [Qs Ks Kc] bagger79: checks hero: checks frankcasanov: bets $2 bagger79: folds hero: calls $2 *** TURN *** [Qs Ks Kc] [5d] hero: checks frankcasanov: bets $5 hero: raises $5 to $10 frankcasanov: calls $5 *** RIVER *** [Qs Ks Kc 5d] [9d] hero: bets $10 frankcasanov: raises $35.50 to $45.50 hero: calls $23 and is all-in *** SHOW DOWN *** frankcasanov: shows [Kd 9h] (a full house, Kings full of Nines) hero: mucks hand frankcasanov collected $89.50 from pot I suppose its just a day in the life for the most part. Yet after feeling little or no resistance as I've grinded through the limits. It's just a lil depressing that my biggest downswing has to happen when I take my first shot at $50. I don't feel although the opposition should be greatly stronger than the last level. But its raining [censored] in 50 land. |

Re: Am I a donkey? My first shot at $50
wrong forums, 1-2 hands at a time please
hand 1 - raise more on preflop ($8) and flop (wtf?) hand 2 - raise preflop, don't check raise flop hand 3 - if he's that laggy, calling the push is just ok hand 4 - I'd call the turn and c/c the river Short answer, your spewing, work on your game, post in the correct forums. Crovax |

Re: Am I a donkey? My first shot at $50
Hand 1: don't RR preflop. That guy's a complete nit. I'd probably check the flop too. And fold the river.
Hand 2: standard. Hand 3: Meh, fine. Hand 4: lead flop/turn, the hand plays out differently. |
