Default $1 ITM, AK w/ shorty (not in the hand)

Ok, please forgive me for lack of details here... I am going to attempt a hand from memory.

3 Handed

BTN w/ 320 chips
SB w/ 6380 Chips
She w/ 8300 chips

Blinds were 300/600

I was delt AKo. BTN folds. SB completes. She raises to 1800 (to 2400). SB Calls.

Flop: A 6 9 rainbow (I think).

She bet aprox 2/3 pot. SB called.

Turn: T

She checks. SB bets 600. She calls.

River: 4

She checks. SB pushes. She calls.

I didn't know wtf to do w/ this hand since we have dude w/ 1/2 a blind sitting on the edge. Granted I have SB covered, but I didn't want to cripple my stack either just in case BTN decided to make a comeback... So after trying to take down the pot pre-flop, and again on the flop I just wanted to keep it small in case he had me beat. I think folding the river would have been absolutely horrible though. Was this the correct way to play this? If not, what should I have done here??

Yes, I need to pay more attn to suits.

I think the stack sizes might be a little off. If you raise preflop to 2400 that puts 4800 in the pot. On the flop you say you bet around 2/3 let's call that 3000 and the opponent called that puts 10,800 in the pot and according to your post that would leave the opponent with only 980 in chips. Then they bet 600 on the turn and you just call, and their river all-in would be 380 so I don't see how you could fold that ever.

In any case, with the crippled stack there is almost no way you aren't getting at least second so you mightas well get all your money in with TPTK here and take your shot at first. Barring some crazy comeback Headsup this hand will decide the winner.

You would advocate risking your entire stack w/ Shorty still in the game?

(Yes, I know I did anyway.)

grunch: shove pf w/ many hands if shorty folds... you have SB covered and he is a fool to call with any hand except a few power houses. As played shove flop, as played shove turn, as played shove river.

at 300/600 I am pretty much folding or shoving, especially with a huge short stack...

uh - the hh you have listed above has you as the big stack.

being afraid of "risking your entire stack w/ Shorty still in the game" is exactly why you should push - 'cause that's what will be running through your opponent's head.

You've got AK, in the money, with 10bb effective stacks. push! push! push!

run it through SNGPT - i would push any two here, let alone AK.

I don't like this thinking. You've got TPTK, villan covered, and a shorty who won't survive the next round. Get your chips in there. (Even if you lose, you've still got shorty covered 6 times over.)
