M\'S SIMPLE PROGRAM FOR RIGHT CONDUCT IN LIFE AND EVERYWHERE ELSE
It works, and here it is:
1 TREAT EVERYONE AS YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED 2 IF YOU DON'T, YOU ARE SCUM 3 IF YOU FIND YOURSELF BECOMING SCUM (through carelessness or anger), THEN 4 GOTO 1. The above has actually saved me from remaining in the state of being scum, on many an occasion;-) Well that's it--and I will be out of here until next month. Best to all.

Let's use this thread to have a serious discussion of what is and is not trolling in this forum.
I define trolling here to be any of the following: 1) Constantly making no substance posts against another poster's views instead of rebutting his points. 2) Constantly inserting off-topic remarks, or taking a minor point of the OP and spinning it off into an off-topic subject. The best example of this are the constant Bush-bash remarks of certain posters inserted in threads where those having nothing to do with the subject of the post. Although of course I am a Bush supporter, I would say the same regarding remarks of a fellow conservative who made similar off-topic remarks about Hillary to push an anti-Hillary agenda in threads where she isn't really a part of the subject. 3) Intentionally misrepresenting the views of others so as to characterize them as more extreme than they really are, including redefining perjorative terms for which there is a common accepted definition. Note that I am not talking about taking another poster's view on a matter to a logical extreme, because this is a valid logical/rhetorical method to show the implications of a certain view. Also I am not talking about imputing the true motives of either the view of certain posters, or of political figures/positions in general. This too is valid, because hidden agendas or moral values/lack of same, which use other arguments to advance those agendas should be exposed. And sometimes those hidden agendas are merely personal or moral defects and not a true political hidden agenda.
