Default The Best Jumpers

This subject is admittedly not of earth shattering importance but the NBA dunk contest made me think of it.

Of the thousand best jumpers in the world in terms of vertical leap, how many of them are mainly

1. Basketball players

2. Ballet dancers

3. Gymnasts

4. High jumpers

5. Circus performers

6. Other

Question 2:

How many people in the world can jump high enough to hit their head on the rim (10 ft. up)?

In terms of vertical leap, I think the difference between basketball players and everyone else on the list is significant.

French basketball player Kadour Ziani is on record as having the highest vertical leap at 60". Some of his dunks and feats can be found here... http://youtube.com/watch?v=mc_s4U7yuY4

ski jumpers would be really high on that list, especially in terms of height/vertical leap ratio.

very few of them could hit their head on the rim cuz they're not often much more than 6 feet tall.

1. Basketball players (pro/amateur): 100%
2. Ballet dancers: 0
3. Gymnasts: 0
4. High jumpers: 0
5. Circus performers: 0

Question 2: I'm guessing not very many in the world can jump high enough to hit their head on the rim, maybe 1000?
