Card Player has an article out that claims Andy Beal is has backed out of the 2006 NBC National Heads-Up Championship. He confirmed his invitation before his sessions at the Wynn but made an announcement yesterday that he was done with poker! [img]/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]

Being down only 30 BB (according to reports) I would guess the notoriously reclusive Beal is only pulling this to get out of the Heads Up Championship because he doesn't want to be on TV.

I don't feel like going back through the book to look for it, but when he said that he was quitting poker after one of his sessions one of the "corporation" said to him "See you in 2 weeks".
