mom abandons teen daughters - leaves $20 and a pile of bills

A mom in Northern MN and her loser, domestic abusive husband (and the teens step-dad) skipped town, leaving the 17 & 15 y.o. girls to fend for themselves with $20 and a pile of unpaid bills. apparently the younger one was dating guys in their 20s. just up and moved to Montana. Dad had a pending court date for getting drunk and threatening the mom / teens so there's a warrant for his arrest on that and both are now charged with child neglect. teens now in foster care.

mom left a note saying she went to work early. and mom told her 21 y.o. son that they might return by Nov. or XMAS.

Standard. As a foster family, we used to get kids because of behavior like a mom leaving her three kids, all under 4 years old, at the bus stop all weekend or even for close to a week without food or water and sometimes naked.

Far from it. Pretty much any time they wanted, they and similar parents(you probably couldn't believe how many of them there really are) could just tell the courts they were sorry and would never do it again, and they would get their kids back automatically. We had kids who were raped, had bones broken, and were sexually tortured by their parents. As soon as their parents asked for them back, they got them.

From my experience w/ being a foster family it's usually the opposite.. As soon as the parents start whining that they're "really trying" then the govt yanks the kids out of the foster home they're in and puts them back in the same abusive situation. Repeatedly.

(Yes, even when it involves repeated neglect and sexual abuse.)
