Yes, one only has to look at the huge rapidly growing Kansas economy.

Right...there is no place in kansas city, lawrence or Manhattan (can't speak for BFE-Kansas, though) that offers below 5.15. Most offer above it, actually.

As far as the greater Kansas City area is concerned, yes, the economy is very rapidly growing.

I would agree that the minimum wage is a crime against humanity.

btw - doesn't federal minimum wage supercede this? Or am I missing something? Didn't the Dems say they were going to make it like $100/hr?

Uh why does this matter, aren't they subject to the federal minimum wage of $5.15? If so isn't it misleading to imply that people in Kansas are making $2.65?

The state minimum wage affects 19,000 workers, mostly in service or agricultural jobs, who aren’t covered by the federal minimum wage law, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

FWIW I think federal minimum wage laws (per the Fair Labor Standard Act) only apply to employers engaged in interstate commerce.

Having said that, the federal government defines anyone who has more than a certain amount of annual revenue (I think it's something like a million dollars), or who accepts credit cards, or who imports goods from other states, etc. as engaging in interstate commerce.
