Default Live 5/5 NL $1k-max Hand #2

Same game as Hand#1. The PFR in this hand is the SB from Hand#1, he just sucked out in a huge pot before this hand and is a big stack $2.5k~. The button is running bad, and just rebought for $300, giving him a total of $350. I've won a few hands and have about $1700~ or so behind.

3 limpers and the SB from Hand#1 raises to $100, the button calls (leaving him $250), you are in the SB w/KK.

Your action?

if you're comfortable playing post flop, id call.

id also be interested in somebody telling if/why flat calling here would be bad, since ive played like <40 hours live and this sort of situation probably doesnst come up online much

edit: i thought you were in position vs the big stack who raised to $100 when i wrote this, so i may be off. im still sorta confused about what position the guy who raised to $100 is in

i assume you meant BB.

Nope, SB, it may be a little confusing as it's the SB from Hand#1

that raised to $100.

I like your question here, thanks for your reply.

Why do you think he raised it to $100?

You can't really go wrong making it $400 to go, since he realizes that button's presence (ie pot commitment) makes the pot basically protected.

i'd make it like 350

is that a standard raise for him? often times when soemone makes an abnormally large raise out of nowhere i'll see AA, but it's not something i'm too concerned about yet.

Well, it was a new "set president" so to speak as the guy he sucked out on in that huge pot made it $100 to start when he called out of the blind w/A2o.

did you quote it because he was actually going around saying something as ridiculous as "set president"

No that's all me. I quoted it as it does sound ridiculous but I think it's the only way to describe the raise clearly.

I think you mean "set precedent," but w/e.

Online I would usually just make it $350 so it looks like i'm trying to pick on the shortstack. The shortstack actually makes a flatcall attractive since if he gets committed postflop the hand should play out pretty honestly.

I'd repop to $275 and try hardest to stick it in preflop, almost no matter what. He could very well be feelin loose and frisky b/c he got lucky, and live players are garbage and will push QQ preflop to a reraise at a full ring table.
