Default convincing new people to play higher stakes

So i met these two people today in class. One is into gambling and tells me about big wagers he makes for sports betting. He seems like a loose player/fish. The other is more into the WSOP aspect of poker and only like donkaments. He strikes me as a tight player but still fishy. He plans on entering one of the $1,500 events soon. I got there info and i plan on starting a game with either of them in the near future. How do i go about playing them in decent stakes games without comming off as a tool?

I dunno, play every hand and raise a lot?

From your post title, im guessing you are just trying to get them to play decent stakes. If that's the case, just organize a game with blinds at 1/2 or 2/5 (unless those aren't decent enough) and see if they come. Both of them should be willing to play in a game like that. Unless, the guy that's gonna play in the $1,500 event has a bankroll of $1,575, which wouldnt really surprise me.

The bigger trick is going to be finding other players to get this game more than 3 handed, if these guys do play.

"I'm having a 1/2 no limit game on the 10th, at seven. Bring a couple hundred. Should be fun."

I agree. Maybe spend more time paying attention in class than organizing poker games? Just a thought....

I had to go back and re-read the original a half dozen times to get my mind to bend around the word enough to even decipher what word it was supposed to be....

I thought it was pretty obvious the word was initiate. Other than the very oddly placed "a" instead of an i, he was pretty close guys; give him a break. =)
