Same live 6/12 game as the AKo hand, but a few hours later. Villain in this hand had been at the table for a few orbits, and he had been involved in a few hands but been pretty quite overall. Seemed like a decent/thinking player. I had played a couple of hands since he sat down, raising preflop and staying aggressive postflop, winning a couple of them, but also had a bluff snapped off that I'm sure he noticed. I got about $500 at the table, so he probably thinks I'm winning a good amount, but in actuallity I'm only up $100.
UTG+1 and MP1 limps. I raise two black tens in the hijack. Villain 3bets in the CO, button(asian kid who played pretty bad) calls 3 cold, blinds fold, UTG+1 and MP1 calls, I call. Flop: AA10r What's my most profitable line from here? |

Check to the 3-bettor to your left and check-raise the field.

Bet. Check call will stop the action on the turn if they don't have an A. You try to ck again and if they don't have the A it gets checked around and folded when you bet the river. If they don't have the A (KK,QQ,JJ etc.) they may think you would check an A to trap so they may call or even raise. If they have an A they will give you action somewhere regardless. If you check and the thinking player bets and the bad player raises an A it will be obvious to anyone who thinks you have a good hand to call 2 bets after checking. The best deception is to bet.

This is such an automatic checkraise. The preflop 3-bettor WILL bet here, and there is a good chance he will raise you if you lead out. Why in the world would you want to have all these loose players face two bets when there is a strong chance you will be able to check-raise the entire field?

Flop: AA10r What's my most profitable line from here? [/ QUOTE ] I checked to villain, planning to c/r, he bet and unfortunetly it was folded back to me so we are now HU. If I would've got just one caller in between us I agree, it's an auto c/r, but is that still my best option now? Should I let the cat out of the bag and c/r, or sit on it for alil while now that we're HU? |
