Re: seriously thinking about switching to limit forever
In terms of potential profitability, .25/.5 limit is equivalent to 5NL. Yes, 5. 10/20 pros make about as much as 200 nl pros.

Re: seriously thinking about switching to limit forever
Wait, what is a good hourly rate for playing 200 NL? Assuming you are multitabling and are one of the better players at that limit.

Re: seriously thinking about switching to limit forever
Big deal, I got called on the end in stud in a HORSE tournament by a pair of 5's when I had Kings showing. He had pot odds though.

I was making about 100 an hour 6tabling. [/ QUOTE ] I would say that is a solid hourly rate for 6-tabling 5/10 limit. Someone winning that amount 6-tabling 10/20 would obviously be decent, but also have a fair amount of leaks in his game imho. Basically 2 BB/100 is a high but achievable winrate at both limits (probably a slightly higher WR is possible at 5/10 vs 10/20 b/c the worse play there is more pronounced than the worse rake structure). A 10/20 table gets ~120 hands/hour, so 6 tables * 2 BB/100 * 120 hands/hr/table = ~$300/hour. In practice, it would be hard to maintain this rate putting in a lot of hours, making $200-$250/hr more realistic for a very good player who chose to 6-table 10/20 limit HE. |
