Re: Preflop implied odds with small pairs
ur calling range should depend on a few factors other than vpip/pfr/af - that said, dan gave a solid answer that, without other reads, i agree with

Re: Preflop implied odds with small pairs
alot of times people call in this spot trying to spike a set. what you have to understand is that
a) everytime you flop a set you wont stack villain, so implied odds arent as much as you think they are. b) you could go set over set c) it is tough to extract OOP that being said i still call here alot but it has to be a leak |

I doubt I call with worse than TT [/ QUOTE ] What range do you put villian on here? Im assuming you put him on Ax+, K10+, qj, any PP (maybe even a SC). All of these hands TT is +EV with the exception of JJ-AA of course. Calling lower PP's doesn't change the -EV range every much. Calling with 55 for example adds 66-TT to the -EV range while keeping the rest of hands +EV. Of course this assumes you can navigate a cbet by villian on flop (I often C/R here). What I'm trying to say in short is there is no real difference in odds from TT vs AJ+ and 55 vs AJ+. |
