16- AK vs limp/reraise
What does everyone think abou this hand. I had a friend tell me that it was pretty bad. So did he spot a major leak of mine or is this an ok play?

Re: 16- AK vs limp/reraise
I'd rather just call the 160 and then keep calling if I flop a pair+

Re: 16- AK vs limp/reraise
you need a read to do this
moderate fish = AA KK way too often giant fish = aids, all in ak good just call and flop an a or k |

Re: 16- AK vs limp/reraise
I'm with Shillx on this one. Although it can't be terrible to shove AK here, I'd prefer keeping the pot small and just calling.
If it's not a big hand, it's very often a pocket pair. |

Re: 16- AK vs limp/reraise
It depends somewhat on the player. If he is a total donk then push in and if he is a nit then fold. The main argument against calling is, "he won't give action when you hit so you might as well push and see all 5 cards." This simply isn't true (even in games as high as the $500 level).

Re: 16- AK vs limp/reraise
The pot is going to be 600 if OP calls, not exactly small.

Re: 16- AK vs limp/reraise
I think shoving AK here is a high-variance play with a pretty small edge. Your edge is prolly bigger than shoving into a guy l/rr'ing and calling with 33, you're happy only if he calls with a non-paired hand. I'd prolly call his rr cos I don't think it's a huge -EV play and also just out of curiosity.
I'd just complete PF tho |

if youre confident post flop, call. if youre not, shove
