Default 16- AK vs limp/reraise

What does everyone think abou this hand. I had a friend tell me that it was pretty bad. So did he spot a major leak of mine or is this an ok play?

I'd rather just call the 160 and then keep calling if I flop a pair+

you need a read to do this

moderate fish = AA KK way too often

giant fish = aids, all in ak good

just call and flop an a or k

I'm with Shillx on this one. Although it can't be terrible to shove AK here, I'd prefer keeping the pot small and just calling.

If it's not a big hand, it's very often a pocket pair.

It depends somewhat on the player. If he is a total donk then push in and if he is a nit then fold. The main argument against calling is, "he won't give action when you hit so you might as well push and see all 5 cards." This simply isn't true (even in games as high as the $500 level).

The pot is going to be 600 if OP calls, not exactly small.

I think shoving AK here is a high-variance play with a pretty small edge. Your edge is prolly bigger than shoving into a guy l/rr'ing and calling with 33, you're happy only if he calls with a non-paired hand. I'd prolly call his rr cos I don't think it's a huge -EV play and also just out of curiosity.

I'd just complete PF tho

blah blah blah...anything useful to add? The raise is still small percent of your stack. You're certainly not getting committed by calling here. I should have chose my words more closely.
