Default 200nl - i get river c/r msnl styliiieee

Villian is 22/163 and im playing 22/20/3 ish

Villian stack me previously by flopping trips vs my QQ overpair - i got it allin on very drawy flop

We had a go at each other for a bit with no one really dominating the other

Villian is a thinking player and knows i can lay down a hand if i think im beat

He ran his timer down on the turn and river.

My thinking is that he has some kind of pocket pair that fulled up somewhere or he is taking advantage of my small river value bet.

It scared me that he ran his timer down on the turn then called but i'm not sure why he would check a full house on the river given that he knows i have double barreled him with overs before...

All signs point to your being beat, how often do you get bluff c/red on the river (note: I haven't played about NL100 yet)? At the same time he might have JT here and think it's the nuts. Given how deep you are I think this is a fold.

Help me understand the river bet. What are we expecting to get a call from here?

from a tag your river bet screams value. I think you're beat here way too often to warrant a call.

Whatever called him on flop and turn.
I don't get why everyone hates this value bet. What, you don't want a call from a worse hand. Do we really think a larger bet is better here? Seems to me if we bet big we're commited when he raises and we're folding out hands we want to call. Sure it looks like a value bet, but most TAG's will still call this w/ a decent hand. That's why we made it small!

I don't hate the value bet - and I'm totally willing to entertain discussion that my default of checking behind here is just burning money. Had there been some overs to the board at some point I'm much more likely to bet, but the only thing for villain that makes sense to stick around to the river with is something like TT/88/77 - and it seems to me those hands fold here very often - but perhaps this assumption is really bad and I don't know better because I don't bet here. You think 88 pays us here a fair amount?

Well it's not like he was on a draw, so I don't see how even he doesn't call river w/ TT,88,77 unless he's discliplined. May as well try to milk him. As for the river, I think your crushed.
