Donk bet from a rock in capped pot
MP is somewhat aggressive. I've seen him donk bet turn scare cards with nothing and then follow through on the turn. SB is a rock and tricky post-flop.

what do you mean 'tricky postflop?' Can you give examples of past hands?

Re: Donk bet from a rock in capped pot
my first thought is: i cap with position and get ready to call down if he leads the turn.
the problem is it sucks to get check/raised on the turn because i hate folding TPTK in a huge pot. also, would a "rock" coldcall twice preflop with KQ? we could try calling now and raising a safe turn card, though it's gonna be just as hard to lay down to a 3bet (and then 1 more bet on the river) plus now we've spewed more. so given all this -- especially the part where sb is rockish -- i think we should just call down unless the board/action gets a lot scarier. raising never gets anything we want to fold, and i don't think it can be for value. |

Re: Donk bet from a rock in capped pot
is anyone concerned about MP capping PF then cold-calling on a K-high flop? what can he have there that we like? desperate TT-QQ? KQ? will he fold AA if we cap?
it doesnt look like we are going to be able to get away from this massive pot, but it doesnt feel very nice. I hate the fact that if we cap and MP calls again, we risk him raising us on the turn when/if SB leads, same thing goes for the river. If we call the 3-bet, we are in the same boat. What's a girl to do? Please post the rest of the hand. |

Re: Donk bet from a rock in capped pot
*grunch*
Rocks aren't tricky. By definition, they are straightforward. Tough hand. It looks like MP is slowplaying, and SB flopped a set. |
