the suprise is that with only a 30BB loss he is ready to call it quits. Based on the history although he has lost money he is clearly near the expertise of those he's playing. He has lost but not nearly as much as he should have if he was truly outclassed. I hope he comes back or a new Andy Beal..I like rooting for the underdog and when the underdog comes this close I get really excited. So here's hoping this isn't then end...if it is I'll have to resort to watching the real fish (read: sheikan) duke it out with those who clearly outclass them on GSN.

I'm surprised he gave up with only a 30 bet deficit and he even decided not to play in one of the coolest televisted tournaments ever?

I dont think Andy is done for good. He may be done for now, but I think we have not seen the last of Andy Beal..

I'm sure the decision had nothing to do with the loss. I assume that he is under other pressures to quit playing. $3M can't mean that much to Andy Beal that he'd quit because of it.
