most obvious vegas questions ever?
o.k. this may be the most obvious vegas question(s) ever.
is vegas packed for first weekend of march madness? or is the final weekend mostly? is vegas in late winter/early spring perpetual spring break like it apparently is in florida?? i.e. spring break doesn't seem to be a specific one or two weeks anymore. lastly, will the mountain west tournament be a high demand week? just trying to plan a week long trip out there in the next few weeks... thanks in advance!! |

Re: most obvious vegas questions ever?
I'd say the first weekend is more crowded than the final weekend. You have to get to the sports book around 6-7a.m. to get a good seat for the games.

Re: most obvious vegas questions ever?
The MWC tourney should be no big shakes. Most of the schools in the conference don't have incredibly large traveling fanbases, and frankly, most of the schools don't have high student populations (relatively speaking compared to other large state schools), and thus, less alumni.
The games themselves will be well-attended, what with the USAF Acadamy have a great year and Nellis AFB being right there. Hell, my wife's a professor at a MWC school, and as far as I know, she doesn't know a single person who's going. The fact the Rams suck at basketball this year might have something to do with that last part. |

Re: most obvious vegas questions ever?
The whole month of March is pretty busy with Spring Break, NASCAR, St. Pat's, and March Madness going on.
I would say the first weekend of March Madness is the busiest and best time to go. Other than the WSOP, this is my favorite time of year to visit. |
