$1/$2 NL at NYC club. Villian is fairly solid and is also my wife's cousin and we have played a bunch together. I have had some big hands cracked during the session and have a decent image. Villian started the hand with ~$800, hero with ~$300
Hero (Button) holds 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 limpers, I limp and Villian (SB) completes. BB makes it $12 to go. 4 callers see the flop of 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Villian leads out for $30 and the limpers call (each has about $150 left after the call). What is the play here? Smooth call? Push? |

I just dump here. You never know if your outs are clean. Plus you probably only have one card to chase as you are guaranteed to face a shove by the turn with how much the pot has bloated to.

He bet this flop into 4 people and you want to push? You're retarded.

Push is terrible IMO. You honestly think all the limpers will fold? You definitley do not want a call here.

The limpers had been chasing all day, and calling off their stacks but not to big bets. I thought a big raise here gets me HU with the bettor.

The villain probably has trips here, and probably one of the overcallers has trips or a boat. In fact, I think you're behind all of the other 3/4 people in the hand (I'm confused as to how many players are in the pot at the point it gets to you). I hate pitching given these odds, but if you hit an 8 for the straight it's reasonable that boated up 78, or that someone has a boat already. Just fold.
Pushing here just guarantees you get your stack in as a big dog. |
