Default 5/10 NL how would you play it?

5/10 NL
Me $1100 mid position
Player on the button $ 900

Two players limped in.
I limped in with 6H 9H
Button raised normal table raise $40

Two calls and i call.
Pot is about: $160

Flop 2D 7H 8H

Checked to me. I checked. Button bet $80. Fold to me.
I raised to $ 200. He think and re-raise to $500.

I pushed all in and he calls for about $400.

I missed and he showed AdAs and took the pot.
Please comments.

p.S
My wife keeps nagging me for bad play

I'd play it by folding PF both spots.

After that flop you've got an OESFD and got all the money in...what's there to comment on?

Postflop, yes. Your hand is so strong that its a favorite over JJ-AA, even money or a slight dog against TT (variable being whether he has the Th), and about a 58/42 dog at the worst to a set or bigger flush draw. Stick it in, you're getting proper odds against pretty much any conceivable range.

flop play is totally fine. preflop is kinda loose but if that's your style then ok.
