Default $25NL 99 overpair

I hate this situation ..I flop an overpair with a medium pocket pair against a preflop raiser. This guy had raised my blind everytime it was folded to him on the button. He was a bit loose but seemed a reasonable player. Should i have reraised preflop? and if so by how much. I never know where i am in this situation cos quite often when i bet into the pf raiser he will often raise simply cos he raised preflop...Thought he may even have been raising on the flush draw. Should i fold or even reraise his flop raise here and if so by how much? I gave up on the river cos i didnt think there was anything i could beat that he would be betting here.

I'd reraise preflop a solid amount of the time

when you call I'd often c/r the flop

river seems fine as played

I don't like your line here. There are several ways to play this and you chose a terrible one. One option is to RR him preflop and hope to take it down right then, ~$4 should be good for this.

Another option is to lead into him(which you did), but you led so weakly that he will likely raise you with any two. You didn't really gain an information about his hand by playing it in this manner. Givin the way you played this hand,I would probably 3 bet the flop to really get a clear picture of where we stand in this hand and determine if we want to stack off with it.

Isn't raising to 16x the BB after someone has opened to 3x the BB screaming "I really don't want a call here"

16 x the bb seems excessive I would re-pop to $2.50-$3.00

I don't feel like playin 9's oop vs donks that could have anything. A 4X raise is my standard from the blinds so I guess $3 is ok, I would do nothing less than that.

OOP i'd reraise to 3.50$. i think anything between 3$ and 4$ is fine.

as played, i really like a c/r on the flop.
