Default I am 90.4% the man I was Jan 1

Most people would look at me at almost any point in time in my life and say, "wow that dude is SKINNY", even when I was up to 167 lbs on Jan 1 of this year. From age 21 to 32 my weight fluctuated from 120 to 151, with probably 90% of that time between 131-137 ( I am 5'8"). Getting to 151 took a HUGE effort on my part, and I was below 140 again within probably 2 months. I remember being 21 years old and fitting into my brother's 26/32 pants, ( he is still only about 125 to this day, up from ~112 most of his adult life; He's 38), and yet just after the holidays, most of my pants were tight on me at 32/32. I told myself I am NOT going up to 33/32, it's just not happening.

Funny thing about that though. Since Jan 1, I haven't worked out once, (too hard with kids, heavier workload, and crappy single-digit weather of late.) I haven't been officially dieting, but I've been watching what I eat a tiny bit,(more portions than the actual type of food; I LOVE Fuddrucker's and Quizno's Prime Rib peppercorn Sandwich) and drinking ONLY Coke Zero or Diet Coke when I drink a soda, and lo and behold, the other day, I step on the scale and weigh 151, hardly even trying.

So here's the Daliman Diet:

1. Have good genes ( there is not a single person ANYWHERE in my family that would be considered more than 30 pounds overweight, and that includes my grandmothers 16 kids, grandkids, etc.)
2. Drink Diet sodas. I HIGHLY recommend Coke Zero. WAY better than any of the other diet colas IMHO.
3. Read when you eat. You will eat slower and fill up at a quicker rate.
4. Feed your kids while you eat. If you can still get in more than half what you made for yourself while corralling a 3 and 1 y/o like I do, you are are truly prodigious eater.

EDIT: For those that think 167 isn't very heavy, I have VERY skinny arms and legs, so alot was in the belly area.

Well, of course the 30 part is leg length, but I'd say 31 would be proper pant leg length for me. I used to wear 30/30's for the longest time, but it seems like as I gained weight the pants sit higher or something, I dunno. Seems same amount under navel tho.

I remember when I got over 120 being THRILLED that I could start finding pants, as I was up to 28/30.

My brother wear 28/34's, if he can ever find them. I have no idea why 34's, we are same height. Mebbe cuz he used to be a stoner and likes then bunched up at his ankles or something.

Sweetener 951 - aka "Asapartame" (According to the US FDA, "the [National Cancer Institute] currently is studying aspartame and other dietary factors as part of a larger study of adult brain cancer."

Good enough for me to not drink it.
