Three monitors, need 2 video cards, right?

Dell XPS410
with dual 256MB nVidia GeForce 7900 GS.
2x 2007FP
1x 3007FP

Is this overkill? Could i get by with a significantly cheaper alternative card to power the 2007FPs?

Matrox sells video cards that let you hook up three or four monitor with just the one video card.
