Default JJ Agai8nst a TAG (Stars $5/10)

Decent TAG raises UTG, bad player 3-bets from CO and I cap out of SB with interracial JJ.

Flop is Q-7-4 (suits unimportant).

I bet, TAG raises and fish folds.

What is your plan for rest of hand?

I would call down, hoping he's trying to get HU with TT or something.

I don't think Villain's flop raise makes a huge amount of sense if he's just got TT, though, since if he's ahead, there's a good chance both of his opponents are sharing outs, and there's also a really good chance he's not ahead.

So I guess I'm saying I'm not especially optimistic. To some extent what I said about TT applies to AQ as well (although the chances that hand is best are better than for TT and meanwhile there's less fear of getting outdrawn if the hand is best), but AA/KK and sets are entirely possible, and also I think in general players are going to be more inclined to pop the flop with top pair than with a pocket underpair.

Still, you're getting about 4:1 on a calldown, and I think that's good enough.

Yeah, I pretty much call down here every time and feel stupid when I'm beat (most of the time) and like a genius when I'm good.

u have to call down. this looks like a sucky flop for u and he could be raising with alot of stuff that u beat. Sucks if he has AQ.

That is pretty much how I feel on these type of hands. My plan is to call down unless an Ace falls.

That is what I did and villain had AQo and MHING.

I just wanted to make sure that calling down was OK here and this was not a leak in my game.

Part of my thinking is that I can see villain raising the flop with TT or even AK to get heads up against me so calling down seems OK. But often villain will just check the river with less than top pair when in position and when he bets it sure seems like a value bet to me. But I also don't see hwo I can fold a blank river after calling the flop and turn.

In this board i call flop raise check call turn and donk river.
Because some player raise flop with any paire bet turn and check river.
But i don't really know if that good.

Why would you donk the river?

donking the river doesnt seem ridiculous to me if villain is raising the flop often with PPs (which is why we say to call down, very expectable he'd protect his hand here with TT-88)and often checks them behind on the river.

In situations where he could have done this with a draw (less likely in a protected pot where he knocks the other out and the straight draws not in his range), I prefer ck calling the river again to let him maybe bluff if he whiffed but this boards pretty dry so a donk would definitely cross my mind.

Looks like a pretty easy fold to me.
