Default 10/20 live.

6 handed. Effective stacks are $3,500. Villian is some what a retard, leading the flop with draws/air and folding to raises a lot through the night, this is basiclly the first time I saw him lead and then call a raise on the flop, he was having a lot of success of people just folding when he leads into them OOP.

Hero is UTG with Ac7c and opens for $90 folded to BB who calls.

Flop is 10 7 4 rainbow. Villian bets $150, Hero makes it $450, Villan quickly calls.

Turn is the Ad, putting two diamonds, and Villian leads for $700.

At this point I thought for a long time, and ruled out A10 as one of his hands primarilly because he tended not to lead the flop with what he would consider a strong hand. A4 was a possibility, as was any combo draw, 5d6d and 4xdd or 7xdd. I flat called here, with the intention of raising the river if a brick hit, and he lead with a 1/2 pot or smaller bet.

River 10. Villian bets $700, Hero?

Besides raise the turn, what do you think of Hero's thought process, and the river play?

EDIT: Fixed effective stack sizes.

Based on your read of his flop range, you gotta call this. Also, that's a lot of cards to dodge on the river, but that's already been said.

Not raising the turn when he'll call with improper odds is bad. I also don't like raising the river if a brick falls, as all bluffs fold, all better hands call, and very few worse hands call.

if you say he leads with weak holdings, coudln't he have led the flop with a 10? looks like he's value betting the river. the only hand you beat is a 89 or 56. but it really looks like a value bet to me.

i woulda raised turn

In his eyes, a 10 is a good hand.

Anyone have specifics into what we think his range is on the river? Lead the 10 again when an Ace hits?
