Default You \'ve been mini-reraised btf.

You have survived to 4 handed in an $11 in Full Tilt mtt. Payouts are roughly 7, 5, 3 and 200 Dollars. Chip stacks are Villan - 77000 Hero - 75000 UTG - 8000 and cutoff 15000. You were also short but accumulated chips knocking out 5th and 6th. When we got to this table Villan seemed to be playing sound but got lucky on one hand giving him a large lead. Since that time he has been a bully, pushing his stack w/o getting much heat and none from me. I have not had any confrontations with him until this hand so may have a passive image in spite of previous aggression against other folks.
Both small stacks fold to you in the SB and you find AQ offsuit. Blinds are at 2000 - 4000 with a small ante so you raise to about 15000. Villan makes a mini reraise to 26000. Your turn.

Fold, this is a spot where pushing is +cEV, but -$EV compared to folding.

Cheers!

Interesting thought. I'm embarassed to say that I've never considered $EV but only EV. Maybe that is why I finish 5-10 so often. TY

I pushed thinking that I had great fold equity and that I was, at worst 50-50 to his range. JohnFR has a good point but I think that I have a walk to 2nd and probably 1st if I win this hand. As it turns out he had AJs and I felt that This was exactly what I wanted. He rivered a flush. Still like the play shoting for 1st rather than sliding up the payout scale.

Raise less preflop, so if he does a minreraise, he is the one left thiknking about CEV - $EV, even if you shove here, I still think you should have fold equity.
