If I'm villian I think there's a decent chance you have very little and that the turn bet was you taking a single shot at the pot with a scary board and then giving up. He could have an A but you're getting something like 4-1 and that's plenty. A re-raise doesn't fold anything you're behind and probably doesn't get paid off by much that you're beating. I think you see a pocket pair or even a strong T here fairly often.
