The guys I follow.. Who are they?
Right now pinny just moved the line of Manhattan from +10 to +9, so I bet on SIA +10. This part is easy. No handicapping, I don't even care who is playing.
My question is, how do the guys that first move the line know that there is value in Manhattan +10? |

Some say Marist is gonna blow out Manhattan. I wonder why the line moved the other way. Hmmmm...

Re: The guys I follow.. Who are they?
Since I'm actually betting them, I'll start keeping a record on non pinny arb lines (base amount = $200, if no odds was indicated I'm betting them at -110):
4 u6 +100 5 u6 +105 42 u43 11 1st P -140 504 83.35/28.45 -293 502 u91.5 510 -2 514 12 517 -140 520 -6.5 523 o129.5 525 9 534 u117.5 536 -2.5 539 10 I'm up 14.2058 units so far this month, but for record sake.. 0-0 YTD |

curious if you've kept separate records for each sport and your record on games, say, ~1 hour before the first games in that sport go OTB or 1 hr. before that specific game.

Re: The guys I follow.. Who are they?
Not sure what your last sentence meant. I keep all records in a single spreadsheet. I mark different sports with different colours but I don't have a separate YTD for each sport.
Currently I'm running extremely well at NHL, reasonably well at NCAAB (where I bet most) and losing at NBA. I am particularly weak on half time bets. (-8.5 units) And oh, I follow unranked system bets introduced by NoChance (hence Purdue -2.5, which dropped to -1.5 before game time). *Since the line is getting worse for me, I'm betting 501 o91.5 +105 and 517 +131 for half unit |

Re: The guys I follow.. Who are they?
Oh it's easy, cos sharps usually move the line by 1 point or more, so if you see a red line at +9 -105 (or +10 -122) and the other book has it at +10, it's obv that it was moved by sharps. Public will move the lines, too, but the change is not as much.
I typically shop for lines 1-2 hours before game time, just keep waiting and the lines will move. |

Re: The guys I follow.. Who are they?
right, most of the time, but i don't think every move at pinny is sharp especially on public games near gametime esp. now that americans are banned. i know it isn't in baseball anyway. i've always assumed its the same for NBA/NCAAB and been a bit more careful late. like waiting for indicators elsewhere to pop up.
