Default Interview with TexasLimitKing

Swedish poker news site/community poker.se posted an interview with TLK. I thought NVG might be interested in it so here comes a translation.

----

Alex Dalaklis is more known as TexasLimitKing, a nick that have built impressive stacks and completely crushed his opponents at high stakes games. Poker.se had the opportunity to get a chat about poker with him.

Do you play more or less than before?
I only play a fraction of what I used to. I've had a long break from poker now, but evidently there has been no games at my levels anyway. It is hard for me to find motivation for it anymore.

Have there been any good upcoming opponents?
No, no one I have come across at least.

Will we see you on the EPT tour or at other live events in the future?
It is likely I will go and play a few events, but I wont start playing tournaments seriously.

How is the no limit going?
I started playing no limit a few days ago. My intention is that I eventually will reach levels equal to the levels i play fixed limit at, thus having more tables to choose from. My first impression of NL is that it is more intuitive compared to fixed, so I should be able to learn it in shorter time. So far I've only had swings.

Finally, do you have any advice for the readers?
Only play when you are calm and focused, you will develop faster and will not have to put in an unreasonable amount of hours. Practice regulary and sleep as long as you need. This will help your poker playing more than anything else.

Poker.se thanks Alex for the interview and wishes him good luck in his no limit experiment.

Thanks for this. It would have been interesting if they asked him about his sessions with Ivey, Sagstrom and Antonius etc. If they ever get around to it, would appreciate it if you posted it here.
