Default Poker in Orange County?

I'm going to be in Orange County (Laguna Hills) this weekend, and I'm looking for a place to play. I'd rather not have to drive up to Commerce, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The Bike or COmmerce are your best bets. Sorry.

Closest to you will be Hawaiian Gardens, but I recommend the extra drive to get to Commerce or the Bike.

Oceans 11 will take you approx 40 mins. and if you haven't seen the coast it is not a bad drive down there & HG is about 30 mins.

Post what limits & games you want to play and what time you want to play and I can give you a better idea of if Hawaiian Gardens is worth the 1/2 hour drive.

I'm mostly interested in Hold 'Em, either high-ish limit (15-30 and above), or medium no-limit (2-5, 5-10).

Because HG is a scary, dirty place. Not as bad as Crystal Park, but why go there when there is a more comfortable, safer, and simply better room not much further up the road. Action is good all all three. The Bike has better NL cash game strcuture then Commerce, but other then that I would take Commerce any day.

I have played at all three, and is just an opinion.

zoom into the LA/OC area on the CA map and you will be able to see all of your poker options and map directions from your location. If it was me I would go south from Laguna to Ocean's or Pechanga before driving north into LA.

Good luck.

Hawaiian Gardens has $15-30, 20-40, and 30-60 LHE and Several no limit games also. The games are good.

Overall the games are better at Commerce. Commerce has $20-40 and $40-80 LHE and NL at the level you mention too. It is also nicer than HG, which is kinda a dump.

So basically, it comes down to if you wanna drive 15-20 extra minutes for a little better game and environment. This assumes you are not driving in rush hour traffic in which case everything is way worse.
