Dont really like it, unless he's on a draw that 7 is not a scare card, and if he is on a draw the 7 completes a straight. I think You will get looked up by a weakish K here.

I should have mentioned my read, and the reason for the bluff, is that I put him on 88-JJ.

Well, first off I cbet alot, so I'm lways looking for times NOT to cbet.

If any of the following are true I may choose not to cbet:
1 - I have a marginal hand like middle pair, gutshot draw, under pp to the high card on board, etc.
2 - I am oop.
3 - The board if very dry or very 'wet'.

In this case I'm oop and the board is dry and vs this opp there was a chance he would float or raise with a pp lower than a K.

Once he checks behind on the flop I am 99% sure he doesn't have a K, and once he flat calls the turn bet I'm 100% sure he doesn't have a K and am pretty sure he has a mid pair like TT.

So the river becomes a math problem if I trust my read. Basically how often will a good player fold an underpair on this dry board, and is it worth it to fire a bluff?

yeah, i also think flop check oops are a good thing, id check that flop with trip kings and some other good hands as well as the hands donk speaks of, so this line is good imo.
