Foxwoods - Daily Tournies.... Worth playing?
I finally got time to get to foxwoods on a week day to play in one of the dailey touries, probably Friday afternoon 200+ event and was wondering how the 5k stacks play. I heard the old structure was a real crapshoot but later levels don't look too much better.
Does anyone have experience with this tourny? Would I be better served just sitting at a 1/2 NL table instead? Thx |

Re: Foxwoods - Daily Tournies.... Worth playing?
The answer is both.
If you like tournament play, the new 5K stacks make the first 4-5 levels reasonable. If you get a stack, you can ride it into the final 2 tables pretty easily. If you make the money, it's 4+ hours. If you don't make the final table you are not doubling your money, so if it's all about making the most, the juicy 1/2 is the best bet. I usually get there early, play 1/2 for 2-3 hours, play the tourney, then play the 1/2 until I go home. But I like tournaments, so YMMV. |

If you don't make the final table you are not doubling your money [/ QUOTE ] That's not true. I finished 11th a few weeks back and on that day, 11-20 paid $213. I love the deeper stacks. You can actually be patient for a few levels now and not get blinded down to being a shortstack. |
