Default AQ flopped HUGE...fancy play syndrome?

did I catch myself a bad case of FPS here? I figured someone would bet flop, and wanted to look like it didnt hit me. planned to call turn, raise river but that didnt quite work out. should my line have been bet/raise/bet? or bet/bet/bet? I'm not sure how to maximize value in situations like this, and they're rare, so I want to extract as much as possible.

rofl this is terrible

bet the flop. they will have TJ QT KT KJ Qx Ax or backdoor flushes often enough. then on the turn hen SB bets and BB calls, why the f wouldn't you raise? they've fallen into your, albeit terribly obvious, slowplay, so why not get some bets out of them?

I believe there's one glaring problem in your thinking first. You admit that these situations are so rare. By implication, whether you extract the maximum or minimum in this type of situation will not matter much. However, I do think you need to bet the flop, or check the flop and definitely without any hesitation raise the turn.

Think u played excellent and got the most out of it. U have all good cards with this flop so u must allow opps to hit something. Do not raise turn cause it will look like an obvious slowplay. Allow them to make misstakes on river too.

I think you need to bet the flop. If they fold, they probably wouldn't have put much money into the pot anyway. This also builds the pot, and makes it more likely they will try to chase if they hit some draw or something else on the turn. If someone bet the flop, I could see the argument for just calling, but here I think you need to bet.

The only way you could have played it better would have been to slow play the AQ preflop.

When I make the absolute stone-cold nuts against three clueless opponents, I tend to do some betting and raising. But that's only because I like money. If you don't like money, then your play was groovy.
