To simplify this I will not go into detail about actual hands.
If my opponent makes a mistake on the trun by calling with nothing but a gut shot, but then hits his 6 high straight and I make a wheel. Does it become a huge error on my part for paying him off for it, thinking he wasn't dumb enough to call with that gut shot when he did??? |

it depends...post the hand...it might not have been an error for him to call w/ a gutshot...

it depends... [/ QUOTE ] Is the answer to every general question. I can answer your other question though. Worrying about paying off a 6 high straight when you make a wheel doesn't come up anywhere near enough times to make it a huge error. Things like cold calling preflop too often or completing the small blind too often are huge errors. Post the hand if you want situation-specific help. |
