Don't like it...he has to fold 50% of the time for this to even be CEV. If you had at least some piece of the flop it could be okay cause you could at get lucky and catch up if he calls.
I used to like to play policeman from the blinds but it just ended up costing me money. |

Often I make the same play. I've slowed down on it recently however, I usually want some kind of a read and a little higher blinds.
But, I think the play is fine...you can afford the loss here. Something to consider, when this works it will help you as the blinds climb because this player will remember you defending and will be more likely to fold to you when you're on the BB. |

I don't think you wanna do this so early on. Your image after folding to his min-raise is worth more than the few extra chips you'll get post-flop (*if* you get them, that is).

I like it although I might make the bet just a little smaller. If anything it might make him think twice when he wants to mess with your blinds in the future.
