Default Has Anyone Used These? (Cat Question)

http://www.softpaws.com

Can anyone offer any advice on these nail slipper things? My current cat is prone to scratching [censored] and we can't afford more claw marks on the new place. It's either this or complete nail removal. We're very hesitant to have his nails removed because it's supposed to be pretty painful. There's also other cats/animals which he's likely to have run ins with (haha, a cat brawl) and we don't want him to get his [censored] wrecked.

Anyone in favor of one solution over the other? Also, I have no f'in clue how we're going to get him to sit still while we trim his nails and put these little sleeves on.

Oh, and wtf @ their colors. Hot pink and blue and [censored] haha he's gonna look like a ghetto black woman.

These things look cool, but I sure as hell know that the cat at my place will NOT stay still for this stuff to be put on. Good luck with yours, hope he's placid as.

I know someone that uses them for her cat and she says they work very well. As for putting them on the cat, just have one person holding the fat part of their neck, so the cat will not bite, and have the other put the covers on.

Wow. That honestly solves the problem. He can keep his nails, but he stays in a cat bag. Thanks bro.

isn't there a spray that you can put on things that keeps the cat from clawing?

haha

I'd give those claw thingies a try. I'd never have a cat declawed. It makes them much less safe if they ever get outside(can't either fight or flight(run up a tree) properly), it's painful, and they remove the whole first joint of the digit, not just the nail bud.
