NL100: Mini-C/R on Flop and on Turn
Villain is 41/13/2.5 over a small sample of 50 hands.
There was one hand previous to this where Villain limped UTG w/A8 suited, bet out on an A high flop, called a C/R, and then called $30 on the turn - all with top pair/no kicker. SB ($117.25) BB ($112.65) Hero ($120.45) MP ($258.65) CO ($144.95) Button ($141.55) Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Hero raises to $4, 3 folds, SB calls $3.50, 1 fold. Flop: ($9) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, Hero bets $6, SB raises to $12, Hero calls $6. Turn: ($33) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, Hero bets $20, SB raises to $40, Hero raises to $104.45, SB calls $61.25 (All-In). River: ($238.70) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in) Final Pot: $238.70 What does everyone make of the two mini-C/Rs? When he C/R the flop, then checked the turn, I figured he was weak . . . then he C/R again? I pushed based on my limited stats/knowledge of his play, and because I decided to go with my instinct that when he checked the turn he was weak. Anyone play this different? Be good, Augie |

Re: NL100: Mini-C/R on Flop and on Turn
To be honest I usually just 3bet the flop 50 and see what happens...
As played, after the turn c/r again I dump it... |

Re: NL100: Mini-C/R on Flop and on Turn
I check the turn and call a reasonable bet on the river.

Re: NL100: Mini-C/R on Flop and on Turn
im not [censored] around with a min checkraiser when i only have one pair. i'm looking for a cheap showdown. check turn, call any reasonable bet on river and value bet if he checks to you.

What's reasonable to call here on the river? Pot sized?

Re: NL100: Mini-C/R on Flop and on Turn
In this situation, I would 3 bet the flop. As played, I would check behind on the turn then value bet the river if he checks.

What's reasonable to call here on the river? Pot sized? [/ QUOTE ] it depends on what the card is. in this case it was a blank. then it depends on his stats. i'd have to be there, anything more than the pot you are definetly folding though. |

[/ QUOTE ] Agreed on that. I'm just wondering if even a pot sized call is +EV in these situations even when a blank comes. I really don't know myself. |
