Default TLDR Jeep Club

This post is inspired by Mr Wookie and the Beer Club which I have grown to love. Anyway I just wanted to share my passion of Jeeps with you all so let me show you my Jeep now.

Here is a pic of my Jeep the day I brought it home from the dealership. This was about a week and a half ago for those wondering.

Here is another of me standing beside it on day one.

With any Jeep there are many things you can do with them. Mine from day one was super basic. It is a 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Regular everything. Now in these next few pics you will see some of the changes I have made to it and feel free to tell me what you think.

Here is the front of the Jeep now. It now has a chrome brush guard on the front which I got from a friend for 100 bucks. He had it in his garage and thought it would look good on mine so he hooked me up.

Here is a pic from the side. As you can tell I have put some bigger tires on my Jeep. They are 31 inch MTRs off of a Rubicon. The rims/wheels (depending on what you call them) are also bigger as well, they are standard on the Rubicon's as well. I bought these from a local off road shop for a 750.00 this included a full size spair that was never used. The 4 tires on the Jeep now still have about 75% tread on them for those wondering.

Now on to the good stuff, the little things. In the first two pictures you can see I added a throttle body spacer to the intake. This helps with your HP and gas milage. Its the little red thing if you are wondering where it is.

Next is the Flowmaster muffler I added to it as well. This also helps with HP and Gas milage. I like it mainly cause it growls now Not a great pic but it will do.

Next is my new shifter knob on my 6 speed manual transmission. This just adds some style and makes the inside look tough IMO.

This is my CD Player. Its a Premier in case you were wondering.

Next is just a picture of the engine. Its a straight 6 and runs nice IMO. I also added a K&N air filter to the Jeep as well but I dont have a pic of it, Sorry. The K&N helps with HP and gas milage as well.

The last pic is one just to show you how many miles I have on this thing LOL. Hard to believe huh?

Well guys and gals this is my Jeep. Feel free to post pics of your Jeeps and comment and ask questions about mine. Thanks for you time!

Here is a pic of me off roading in my old Jeep in what we called "River Lane" where I went to college. I got rid of this and traded it for a Truck I wish I hadnt but it was for the best. On it I had a 4 in lift and 33 inch Mud tires on it.

Yeah thats me driving there. I'll try and dig up some old pics of me and the guys mudding and share them here but I think they are on my old computer. Its too late tonight but I will get to it sometime in the next week I promise.

Hey man, nice rig! Here's the before and after pix of my '99 TJ.

Before:

After:

I bought this TJ totally stock with 85K miles. I immediately put on the "urban camo bikini top" (I love that), installed a Rusty's 3" suspension lift and a 1 inch body lift, 33" BFG A/T's, HD trac bar, quick disconnects, slip yoke eliminator and Tom Wood driveshaft, custom rear bumper. More mods are comming, when the $$ comes of course.

You didn't put many miles on before you did your performance mods, but did you really see an increase in performance? I hear that most of these are totally negilgible unless you are running at REALLY high RPMs, which I never do.

Ever 'wheel in CO? Hit me up if you do.

Anyway, keep posting what you do to your rig. Ya know what they say about "JEEP"s : Just Empty Every Pocket. It's an addiction.

Very cool guys.

Have you ever looked into Jeep Jamboree?
http://jeepjamboreeusa.com/

I always wanted to go when I had my Jeep but it never happened.

I drove an '87 CJ-7 in college that my brother gave to me. He was moving and for some reason sold the hard top so I drove through several Minnesota winters with a soft top and a blanket over my lap.

I will have to look and see if I can find any pics.

I damn near bought a Sahara in the late summer of '03 after I got my first teaching position after getting my Ph.D. Unfortunately the commute was 2 hours 1 way, and after test driving the Sahara, the road noise was too much of an issue, and the hard top option + gas mileage just made it uneconomical. But I've always loved the "real" jeeps. Never had much use for the SUVs.

Nice pics.

juanez,

Nice rig man. Looks very nice for sure. On my old Jeep I used the BFG MTs, do you really like the ATs? As far as those extra performance mods I put on mine. I could tell a small difference but where it will help the most is in gas milage anyway. If you go off raoding at all in yours or if you travel some I would sudjest to you to add a Flowmaster, K&N Air Filter and a Throttle Body Spacer. In your Jeep if you dont have any of those then you will be able to see a difference right away.
