Re: NLTRN bankroll req.
Whatever you feel comfortable with.
I move up when I have 20 buyins for the next level. I play small stakes though, and I'll probably want to have a little more cushion when I hit the $30s and $50s. |

Re: NLTRN bankroll req.
I need 50 buyins to move up (so when my roll hits $2.5k, I do the $50's). It's a good, conservative measure that lets me not worry about downswings because of the huge cushion. Truly one of the best decisions I've made.

Re: NLTRN bankroll req.
I move up at 30 and down at 20 generally.

Re: NLTRN bankroll req.
Depends what stakes you play and how comfortable you are at your current stake. someone playing low limit sngs could get away with under 20 buyins but if you are playing middle limits (50-200) you really need about 30-35 and anything higher I'd suggest at least 50 buyins.

[/ QUOTE ] I think this is actually a really revealing point, if you have a responsible bankroll management system that works for you and you stick with it you will reduce the stress your experience over money and losing by a huge amount. Good bankroll management is often the turning point in many poker players careers. |
