Does anyone know the rarest phd in the world?
My friend said it was accounting and that got me curious. I couldn't find anything on google. |

probably anything in the liberal arts since they get the least funding...or you can just easily look it up on phd.org or something

I believe there are several PhDs in subjects that have been awarded to only one person. I doubt accounting is one of them, but it's pretty rsre.

I have 2 PhD accounting students in one of my econ classes, which makes me think that it probably isn't the rarest.

I once heard that Carnegie Mellon U. is the only place in the world you can get a PhD in Robotics.

At some schools you can design your own specialized PhD program, so what ever you created would probably be pretty rare.
