New to SNGs...somewhat
I have a 1300 roll and have been KILLED in the last 15k hands at 100NL. My winrate at that game has gone from ~3--->1.5 over those 15k hands (~90k hand sample). Needless to say I'm fairly burnt out on that game and need to take a break from it. I have always been intrigued by grinding SNGs as I know it's a fairly safe way to build a bankroll for someone who won't take shots, which is something I don't have a problem with. I have played 10 PStars 15+1 Turbos and ITM'ed 6 of them, obviously not sustainable. I am somewhat familiar with SNG strategy, having watched all of ActionJeff's stuff on them on CardRunners. Are these SNGs a good place for me to start? Are the games getting harder in the post-bill world? If any of this is addressed in the FAQ I apologize as it's been a while since I read that. Thanks in advance.

Nothing wrong with SNGs, although this forum probably won't give you an unbiased answer about that. And yes, the games have gotten tougher, but that has happened across the board. Still not difficult to turn a decent profit.

Re: New to SNGs...somewhat
Welcome to the forum. You can check the FAQ to find out bankroll requirement, expected win rates, when to move up and a whole lot of other useful stuff.
Rumour is that the stars sngs have become tougher. I find it hard to imagine that the lower levels have become 'tough' though. Good luck with the grind. We can all use a change of scenery from time to time. Plz feel free to post any questions you have that aren't covered in the FAQ and of course post specific hands you have questions about. |
