messed up this hand pretty good 5-10

main villain is pretty TAG preflop (19/13), but don't have many hands with him. Button is a calling station...

Hero has Ad8d in BB

MP villain opens to $40, calling station button calls (stack $800), Hero calls in BB

Flop ($125) Jd3s2d -- Hero checks, MP bets $80, Button calls, Hero calls (anyone raise here?)

Turn ($365) As -- Hero checks, mp bets $300, button calls, hero calls.

River ($1265) Ah -- Hero checks, mp pushes for $875, button folds, hero...

Tough spot and a tough board to be firing three barrels. I mean I would probably make a crying call, but I really don't see too many hands you beat here. Looks like villain flopped a set here.

I like to mix up this spot on the flop w/ a b3b and cr / cc.

I think a turn lead is pretty terrible.

You almost never get value out of a worse hand, unless somebody sticks around with a draw, you never ever fold better, and you might get blown off your draw.

Frankly, after you c/c the flop, I can't imagine doing anything different.

Completely agree with having to fold.........but just wondering at what point are we calling? How big does our kicker have to be or are we never calling without a boat?

good point jlocdog - was also thinking about if river was an 8, although then I probably lead river... It'd be tougher to get to the river this way w/ AQ or AK...
